Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BJ7

AOD642A was delivered to Varney’s Garage in Jersey in April 1963.

It is one of only 29 RHD cars built for export, all production details are confirmed by the Heritage Certificate.

Cape purchased ‘AOD’ from its owner as part of his insurance claim following a collision that damaged the front left hand side of the car.

In accordance with DVLA stipulations a thorough and documented repair has been completed here at Cape including the use of original factory panels.

The engine and overdrive gearbox were removed and detailed allowing the engine bay to be repainted along with the complete exterior and wire wheels.

Mechanical work included refurbishment of front suspension, fitting a new wiring loom together with new brake and fuel pipes.

Upgrades include high torque starter, elec ignition, throttle cable conversion.

CapeSport exterior styling work included creation of the oil cooler slots, vented front wings, recessed spotlamps and rear bumperettes.
